I have always contributed my love of the paranormal, the mysticism that surrounds it and being truly in love with those things in life we can not explain to my grandmother Helen Warren. She introduced me to hobbits and the love of Irish lore when I was a young girl. Its stuck and now I am proud to say I am a 3rd generation oddball. Unfortunately, it wasn't until my father's and grandmother's deaths that I discovered how involved my family had been in paranormal activity. After my father's death unexplained activity began in my home. Pants flying off the ironing board were not notmal everyday experiences and it got my attention. Then at 40 I became a mother again and was blessed with a child who has sight. Having shadow people visit in the middle of the night and a 3 year old who talks about orbs floating across the room, forced me into the ever growing field of paranormal science. The last 11 years have taken me down many paths of research and experiences, I have met many, many people who are like me and the paranormal becomes more like life then afterlife. As fate has guided me I have become friends with an incredible group of women who love walking through graveyards, mausoleums, dilapidated buildings and beautiful old homes in the midnight hour as much as I do. We have joined our energies to help those of you who are having similar experiences that can't be explained by natural occurances. We love to research the history of homes, explore the stories of those who walked those floors long before we did and hope to capture a glimpse of that soul with modern technology. We truly believe that ghosts were someone's mother, father, lover, child and friend and they are reaching into our world for what was once so important to them. The River Town Paranormal Society is here for others just like us and if you need our help we are just a phone call away.

Having worked in the construction field most of my life I have an extensive knowledge of how houses are built. On an investigation I steer the group to figure out what is making the EMF detectors go off or what the pops, snaps and groans could be in the old buildings we investigate. Everyone who knows me, knows, wherever my wife goes I am there to follow. Its been an intriguing ride. After we moved into our home which is almost a hundred years old, I began experiencing strange activity. OBE's and doors slammng on me were never a part of my previous residences, so with my wife we began to explore the possibilities. The historical research of our home has led us to become interested in what paranormal activity is about.

For as many years as I can remember, the paranormal world has been in my life in one form or another. As a child the idea of ghosts scared me. Once I reached young adulthood ignoring it was not an option. Many things started to happen around me. In my early twenties I saw my first apparition and heard my first disembodied voice. A nudge and a whisper told me to go back into my house and when I did I found an electrical fire starting in the wall. This unseen voice helped me keep my house from catching on fire. In the same year and place I witnessed an apparition standing in my bedroom. In my later years my husband and I bought a wonderful old home in a small town. It's prairie style architecture was the selling point for us. Little did we realize we were moving into a home with paranormal activity. We have learned to becomes friends with the activity in our house and now wish to help others do the same. Intuition has been a strong presence in my life, I did not realize that everyone else did not have this ability. I soon learned there is an actual name for this ability and that name was an intuitive or sensitive. Using these abilities has pointed my life in many directions but it always came back to that point in the road of becoming a ghost hunter.

I am a seeker and very curious of the paranormal world. There is so much out there waiting to be found, photographed and caught on evp's. When I was younger my Grandma's house had a lot of explained things going on.  But I didn't know ghost could come and visit. Now I believe it is true and there is unexplained evidence to see. I have joined a professional team that has welcomed me into their group. I am very passionate about spending time researching and learning as much as I can. These girls have the same belief and drive to find out the truth and share it with anyone interested. You can find me on the weekends wandering around in the dark searching for things that go bump in the night!

With a deep faith to support her, Sharon has been our resident tech and skeptic from day one.  Sharon has guided our group in the use of much of our equipment and has been our mentor in the challenging job of transfering media, whether video or audio, from our recorders to our website.  With a RN degree in nursing she brings a solid base to the group as one who has to see to believe.  Many unexplained paranormal events can be explained and Sharon has been instrumental in helping the group experiment with theories of what may have caused a specific reaction in an investigation. Unlike the rest of the group, Sharon has not had her brush with the physical side of the paranormal world.  This leaves her open to new experiences as the group goes to each investigation. Sharon is also a resident of the lovely state of Missouri so brings with her the knowledge of the area and it's local legends. She has yet to meet a challenge that she couldn't overcome and hopefully one day, that challenge will be her own personal experience with the paranormal.

Hello everyone I'm the intern. I started doing paranormal research in 2007 when Chris Murphy and I founded Pike County Paranormal Investigators also know as Pcpi. After Chirs passed away. my group and I stop doing investigations. I have had many personal experiences with the paranormal since I was a child. I have also experienced a lot of paranormal while investigating in the field. I have done several investigations in the past. We investigated several private homes, a few cemeterys. I personally don't take interest in pictures of light streaks, orbs or "ectoplasm", and I will not try to pass these things off as paranormal, because I am looking for evidence, not camera malfunctions and pictures of dust particles. I don't believe in the use of Pendulums or Ouija boards, viewing these as useless items for a objective investigation.
