Prairie View Nursing Home
Audio And Video

The following audio and video files have not been altered, except to change audio to MP3 format, and cut the clips into a size to post on this site.

Downstairs in the basement, three investigators were setting up the equipment, including digital voice recorders and camcorders. During review, this was noted.
*Note: At no time did any of the investigators respond to this sound. And someone would have asked, "What is so funny?"

During set up 4 members of our team were in what used to be the kitchen area of the nursing home. You will hear "What's he saying?" and then a small high pitched voice. We have at least three evp's of these similar high pitch voices. Again, nothing has been changed on this audio clip except to convert it to a format that can be transfered to our website.
This next evp was captured before we began investigating. Three members of the group are coming down into the basement to set up video and audio. As they approach the laundry room, we pick up another voice that sounds like a child's saying, we think, "Get Back!". Whether they are telling us to get back or someone else is uncertain.

Sound in the basement during the investigation. The same one that the investigator heard? Not heard by all the investigators. | |

Arriving at Prairie View. Once used as the county Poor Farm, this building was converted into the county nursing home. Recently abandoned with construction of the new facility, this giant sits empty, a reminder of days long ago.....and a place where memories might still survive.

Our hopes during these investigations are to capture something which can't be explained, possibly something not of this plain of existance. Here is a creature we saw, and didn't see, during our stay at this site.
