There is no doubt in River Town Paranormal Society's minds that The Villa Kathrine has been one of our favorite places to investigate. The graciousness of the board for The Villa and it's host, Mr. George Metz, have allowed us to come in ourselves to investigate and to bring in others for a chance to investigate it's wonders. The quality of evps that we picked up at The Villa were our first chance to really dig in to analyze what was being picked up, if it was an intelligent answer to our questions and if we could actually tie the evp's to historical research. All of our hardwork paid off and we have to say yes....it is an intelligent haunting, yes....these were quality evps, and yes....there were evps that tied theirselves to the historical research we did. For our own personal beliefs we could go on and on, but it's the research that we strive to get out to the public, to help educate others in what this field is actually all about. We do not intend for you, our readers, to just take our word for it because that would be as irresponsible as for us to tell you that all the shows on TV about paranormal investigating are authentic and that you should believe everything they show. No, we want our readers to journey with us as we pick up more evidence and to make an intelligent decision on what you feel is authentic. With this in mind, we were delighted when Larry Wilson emailed us inquiring if by any chance his group might be able to investigate The Villa themselves. To have another group, totally seperate from ours, come in and pick up any evidence would be verification to our investigations.
On November 21st, Larry Wilson, Craig Whitworth, Kathy Rothenberg and Steve Rothenberg brought their arsenal of equipment into The Villa to do a short investigation. This group of investigators has several years of experience behind them with doing investigations of such places as the Villisca Ax Murder House, Kemper Military Academy and their most recent, Morse Mill Hotel. Larry has also done videography for the investigation of Rockcliffe Mansion in Hannibal, Mo. To meet a group with this much experience could have been overwhelming for our group, but it wasn't. Their research is handled much the same as ours and it was a great pleasure to be able to "talk shop" with them. We have heard one evp from them that was picked up on the night of November 21st, while they investigated by themselves. We look forward to more. When Larry and Craig are done analyzing their evidence it will be given to the board of "The Villa Kathrine" and we will then be allowed to share them on our website.
